    DESCRIPTION

"VC-10" or "Red Fin Borleyi" Placidochromis milomo:

    1. Coloration: The "Red Fin Borleyi" variety of Placidochromis milomo is named for its distinctive red dorsal and anal fins. The body coloration can range from blue to bluish-gray with a touch of yellow, and the vibrant red fins create a beautiful contrast.

    2. Size: Placidochromis milomo cichlids, including the "Red Fin Borleyi" variety, can grow to be around 6 to 7 inches (15 to 18 cm) in length.

    3. Habitat: In their natural habitat of Lake Malawi, Placidochromis milomo cichlids are found in the open water and rocky areas near the shoreline.

    4. Behavior: Placidochromis milomo cichlids are generally peaceful and less aggressive compared to some other Malawi cichlid species. However, they can still exhibit territorial behavior, especially during breeding.

    5. Tank Setup: Provide a setup that includes rocky formations and open swimming spaces. Ensure there are hiding spots and territories to reduce stress and aggression. Lake Malawi cichlids appreciate ample swimming space.

    6. Water Conditions: Placidochromis milomo cichlids prefer water with a pH range of 7.6 to 8.6 and a temperature range of 76 to 82°F (24 to 28°C). Maintain stable water parameters to avoid stress.

    7. Diet: Offer a balanced diet that includes high-quality cichlid pellets or flakes. You can supplement their diet with occasional live or frozen foods like brine shrimp or bloodworms.

    8. Compatibility: While the "Red Fin Borleyi" is generally peaceful, it's important to consider tankmates carefully. Choose fish that share similar temperaments and requirements.

    9. Breeding: Placidochromis milomo cichlids can breed in captivity, and they are mouthbrooders. Females hold the fertilized eggs in their mouths until they hatch.

The "VC-10" or "Red Fin Borleyi" Placidochromis milomo is appreciated for its vibrant colors and relatively peaceful nature. Providing proper care, suitable tankmates, and attention to their social dynamics will help ensure their well-being.
