Description:
Scientific Name: Caridina cf. cantonensis
Common Name: Orange Eye Royal Blue Tiger, OE Royal Blue Tiger, OERBT
Fully Grown Size: 1.2 inches
Orange Eye Royal Blue Tiger are popular OE type tiger in the hobby. Unlike Orange Eye Blue Tigers, Orange Eye Royal Blue Tigers have dark blue body and has no stripes. Orange Eye Royal Blue Tigers also do not produce as much culls than OEBTs.
Orange Eye Royal Blue Tigers were made by selectively breeding OEBTs without stripes. Through thew breeding process, the stripe disappeared and the blue has intensified.
A general rule of thumb of keeping shrimps is 10 shrimps per gallon. OERBTs are more aggressive than most shrimps and spend most of their time eating algae and biofilm off plants, glass, and substrate.
Orange Eye Royal Blue Tigers are intermediate to care for as they require remineralized RO water. When using fertilizer, make sure it does not contain copper as it is harmful to the shrimp’s health.
The shrimps you will receive will be juvies to sub adults which translate into 0.47 to 0.60 inches (1.2cm to 1.5cm).

Although it's rare that shrimps will arrive DOA, it does occur due to the process of shipping and the amount of stress it puts on the shrimps so we always recommend overnight shipping. In an event of an DOA, a refund or reshipment will be issued for only the DOA (not including the shipping cost).
To Claim DOA:
I ordered 5 OERB and OEBT, and all arrived well and kicking. However, all 10 are males. Meaning there won't be new offsprings unless the shrimps find other females to be surrogate mums 🙃
Orange Eye Royal Blue Tiger
Thank you Billy Boi for the healthy and beautiful shrimp! All arrived swimming and continue to be active and colorful. Thank you also for the careful packaging and quick communication.
All beautiful OERBT. All 5 arrived healthy and active looking exactly as pictured above.
Great looking shrimp. Wasn't sure if they were going to tolerate the Neo parameters, but so far they're adjusting well as I do keep the tank around 68-70 degrees. All are growing up nicely. I'm looking forward to seeing if they can breed in these parameters.
