Neon tetra albino

The neon tetra (Paracheirodon innesi) is a small, colorful freshwater fish that is popular among aquarium enthusiasts. The "neon" in its name refers to the vibrant blue and red stripe that runs along its body. However, there are also variants of neon tetras known as "albino neon tetras."

Albino neon tetras are a genetic mutation of the standard neon tetra. Instead of the typical blue and red coloring, albino neon tetras lack pigmentation, resulting in a pale, translucent body. They often have pinkish or pale orange hues due to the absence of the usual pigments that give the neon tetra its distinctive colors.

Albino neon tetras still possess the same general characteristics and care requirements as their normally pigmented counterparts. They are relatively small, peaceful fish that prefer to be kept in groups of at least six to eight individuals. They thrive in well-maintained aquariums with stable water parameters and plenty of hiding spots among plants and decorations. Providing them with a balanced diet and proper water conditions is essential for their health and well-being.
