    DESCRIPTION

The L134 Leopard Frog Pleco (Peckoltia compta), also known as the Imperial Tiger Pleco, is a stunning and sought-after pleco species known for its distinctive appearance and unique coloration. As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, here's some information about the L134 Leopard Frog Pleco:

    1. Appearance: The L134 Leopard Frog Pleco is characterized by its striking black and white striped pattern, reminiscent of the markings of a leopard frog, which is where the common name "Leopard Frog Pleco" originates. The stripes are bold and contrast against a lighter background color.

    2. Size: These plecos can grow to a size of around 5 to 6 inches (12 to 15 cm), making them relatively moderate in size compared to some other pleco species.

    3. Behavior: L134 Leopard Frog Plecos are generally peaceful and suitable for community aquariums. They spend much of their time grazing on surfaces for algae and other organic matter.

    4. Tank Setup: Provide hiding spots, caves, and driftwood in the tank to create suitable hiding places and shelter for the plecos. Driftwood is particularly appreciated as it provides hiding spots and serves as a substrate for grazing.

    5. Water Conditions: Maintain good water quality with a pH range of around 6.0 to 7.5 and a temperature between 76 to 82°F (24 to 28°C). Regular water changes and adequate filtration are important.

    6. Diet: L134 Leopard Frog Plecos are primarily herbivores. Offer high-quality sinking algae wafers, vegetables like zucchini, cucumber, and spinach, and other plant-based foods. You can also supplement their diet with occasional protein-rich foods.

    7. Compatibility: When selecting tankmates, consider fish that are compatible in terms of size and temperament. Avoid overly aggressive or territorial species.

    8. Tank Size: A tank size of around 30 to 40 gallons or more is recommended to provide enough space for the plecos to thrive.

    9. Breeding: Breeding Leopard Frog Plecos can be achieved in captivity, but it often requires specialized conditions and caves for spawning. If you're interested in breeding, research their specific requirements.

When considering keeping L134 Leopard Frog Plecos in your aquarium, make sure to provide them with the appropriate care, environment, and diet to ensure their health and well-being. Researching their specific needs and behaviors will contribute to the success of keeping these visually captivating plecos in your tank.
